Let's assume that you have a date set up this Saturday evening.
So, if you are a guy, what should you do next?
What should you do to impres your date? Do you need to memorise any poem to serenade your date?
Do you need to go out and rent a tuxedo?
First thing first, you have to make sure that you have made a booking at the restaurant where your date will have a meal with you. You also have to make sure that if you are going to watch a movie, you have already bought the movie tickets.
Never assume that you will have a good table at the restaurant or that you will be able to get good seats at the movie theatre. Remember! Never assume! As the saying goes, when you Assume, it makes an "Ass of you and me"! Many things could happen!
What next?
It is important that you look neat during the date. First impression is the last impression. Get your hair gelled, or trimmed. Wear a properly pressed shirt, properly tucked in with jeans or slacks/khakis. make sure the colours match. We highly recommend beige or brown coloured pants. it matches easily with blue shirts, white, red, green or any colour. Other suitable colour trousers besides blue jeans are black and perhaps white. Remember, if the tone for the shirt is soft, then you could wear a stronger colour for pants. if the colour for the shirt is strong like black/deep blue, then you could match it with lighter colour pants like white or beige.
We do not recommend men to wear floral shirts. We walked past one branded men boutique the other day and we saw a mannequin wearing a white floral shirt. Men who wear floral shirts look SISSY! unless of course if you are in Hawaii. Then it is ok !
Checks make you look square. It is not recommended to wear checks shirt and stripe pants. then you may just confuse your date's visions. :)
T-shirts are ok if you are on a casual date.
As for shoes, a pair of black leather shoes seem fine. NEVER WEAR SLIPPERS. DEFINITELY NO NO!
Lastly, spray on some nice and fresh smelling cologne to impress her! Brands that are a favourite are Davidoff, Polo, Chanel, YSL (try getting the scent for the macho men. The more classic scent are more for the businessman/older folks)
Check me Out!
